Our ladies have had a pamper day today ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿผ

Dawn and Thelma enjoyed having their nails painted, whilst Julie and Freda have gone au natural ๐Ÿ˜€ Iโ€™ve had a masterclass in nail filing from Freda too - she used to work in a hair salon where they also did nails, so she picked up a lot of tips throughout the years which she is now passing on to me! ๐Ÿ˜†

We also had another al fresco lunch outside today in the glorious sunshine โ˜€๏ธ Eileen enjoyed reading the Daily Sparkle newspaper outside and Jan spent some time relaxing on the bench ๐Ÿฅฐ

We also noticed that some of the sunflowers we planted the seeds for have started sprouting through already! ๐ŸŒป

The St Georgeโ€™s day celebrations were in full swing here at Nightingale! A day full of fun, laughter and games ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

Our team members dressed up in red and white, and shared plenty of stories with our residents ๐Ÿฅฐ

We had lots of fun and games, playing indoor bowls, wooden puzzles and fidget boards, hoopla - we even played hoopla on Kirstyโ€™s headband! ๐Ÿ˜†

At lunch time, we made the most of the sunshine and had our traditional afternoon tea and buffet al fresco style โ˜€๏ธ how wonderful do the homemade scones and pinwheels look?!

We also had our wonderful hairdresser, Andrea, here pampering our ladies and gents, making them look fabulous with their haircuts! โœ‚๏ธ

This afternoon weโ€™ve continued to enjoy the wonderful sunshine, this time on our beautiful patio area! โ˜€๏ธ

Stewart and I had our mid afternoon drink outside in the sun whilst having a chat. Stewart enjoyed talking about his garden at home, where he says he had a variety of different fruit trees, including several apple trees ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒณ

This afternoon weโ€™

We had a lovely morning out in the community again this morning, enjoying the wonderful sunshine! โ˜€๏ธ

Fran, Marion, myself and our admin, Kirsty, have been for a walk down to Edwinstowe high street ๐Ÿ˜€

We were set another challenge today - to find something red and white, ready for St Georgeโ€™s Day tomorrow - so we headed to Village Xchange to fulfill our quest! The lovely ladies helped us find something and we ended up with this sparkly toadstool which was actually from their window display! ๐Ÿ˜†

We then headed to the coop to buy some bits and bobs before heading for lunch at Hidden Gem Cafรฉ which was absolutely delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹

We also bumped into the lovely owner of Stephanie Haynes Happy Hearts Childcare who visits us on a Tuesday afternoon with the children, who gave us a look at her new business venture, Happy Hearts Sand Garden , which looks amazing, although apparently we were all too old to go for a play! ๐Ÿ˜†
