Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is an excellent residential and dementia care home for the elderly, in the village of Edwinstowe near Mansfield.
We provide personal care of the highest possible quality for all our residents, providing both short-term and long-term residential care for the elderly and those living with dementia. We also provide respite care for elderly people to give their carers a break.
We are situated in the lovely village of Edwinstowe, seven miles from the town of Mansfield, nine miles from Worksop, and only 16 miles from Newark. Nightingale Care Home is a modern purpose-built property very close to the centre of Edwinstowe. The property landscaped grounds including a sensory garden for the residents enjoyment. There are 49 bedrooms, most with en-suite facilities. Full wheelchair access and a lift to the first floor.
Our friendly and experienced team deliver superior quality residential care to our elderly occupants – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As an independent care home, we accommodate privately funded and socially funded elderly residents. All our residents are respectfully looked after, with specific attention to their individual care needs.
Our passion is to provide the highest quality, dignified, residential care for all our elderly residents. Our door is always open and we welcome all residents, their families and friends, who wish to be involved in making the home an even better place to live. We believe that it is of the utmost importance that the individual needs, wishes and choices of our elderly care residents are always upheld and respected.

We are completely dedicated to providing a safe, warm and comforting environment for all our elderly residents. We recognise that entering a residential care home can be difficult for all concerned and we try to make the transition as easy as possible by offering any support and assistance we can.
Safe and Caring
The success of our home is based on our wonderful care team. Thanks to them, we have a very happy home and happy residents. All our residential care team are highly trained with regular refresher training, and training in the latest best practice, skills and knowledge. We are extremely proud to be leading the care industry with well over half our team having an NVQ (or equivalent) qualification and many more studying for one. Our new team members receive thorough formal inductions and more personal support from their New Starter Champions.

✂ HAIRDRESSER ✂
We have our new hairdresser, Andrea, starting with us this Friday 20th February! Here is a little bit about her... 😀
Andrea is a warm, friendly soul with over 30 years of experience as a dedicated hair stylist in Mansfield. A proud mum to her two wonderful girls, Charlotte (19) and Megan (18), and wife to Chris, family is at the heart of everything she does.
Throughout her career, Andrea has not only built lasting relationships with her clients but has also shared her expertise as a trainer at Keith Hall's Hair Salon. She has spent many years styling hair in residential care homes, bringing comfort, confidence, and plenty of smiles to those she meets.
Alongside her passion for hairdressing, Andrea is also a Tropic skincare ambassador, always happy to chat about ways to look and feel your best. Known for her infectious giggle and love of a good conversation, she creates a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere wherever she goes.
When she’s not working, Andrea enjoys sunny holidays—especially in Greece—and the occasional glass of prosecco! She is truly looking forward to meeting everyone at Nightingale, along with their families, and making sure you leave the salon feeling fabulous! ❤️
